1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing this website, submitting music, submitting a form, or otherwise interacting with Unfound Sounds, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the website or submit music.

2. About Unfound Sounds

Unfound Sounds is an independent music review, discovery, playlist, and podcast project focused on human-created music from independent artists. Unfound Sounds may publish written reviews, artist features, playlist additions, podcast interviews, social posts, and other editorial or promotional content at its sole discretion.

3. Artist Submissions

When you submit a song, artist name, contact information, Spotify link, website, images, biography, or any other material, you represent and warrant that:

• You are the artist, rights holder, authorized representative, or otherwise have permission to submit the material.
• Your submission does not infringe any copyright, trademark, publicity right, privacy right, contract, or other third-party right.
• You have obtained all required permissions from songwriters, producers, performers, labels, publishers, collaborators, photographers, designers, and any other contributors.
• The information you provide is accurate and not misleading.
• The submitted music is not fully AI-generated or misrepresented as human-created.

4. No Guarantee of Review, Placement, or Coverage

Submitting music does not guarantee a written review, podcast invitation, playlist placement, social media post, email feature, response, or any other form of coverage. Unfound Sounds may accept, reject, remove, ignore, or prioritize submissions for any reason, including editorial fit, quality, volume of submissions, rights concerns, or suspected AI-generated content.

5. Editorial Independence

Reviews and commentary published by Unfound Sounds reflect subjective opinions. A submission does not entitle any artist to positive coverage, approval rights, edits, takedowns, rewrites, specific scores, specific language, or advance review unless Unfound Sounds separately agrees in writing.

Unfound Sounds may disclose when content is sponsored, paid, gifted, affiliated, or otherwise connected to a material relationship. Unfound Sounds may decline submissions or opportunities that could compromise editorial integrity.

6. License You Grant to Unfound Sounds

By submitting materials, you grant Unfound Sounds a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, publish, excerpt, link to, embed, reference, and promote the submitted materials solely in connection with Unfound Sounds, including reviews, podcast content, playlists, social media, newsletters, website pages, and related promotional materials.

This license does not transfer ownership of your music or other intellectual property. You retain whatever rights you already own. This license allows Unfound Sounds to reasonably use the materials you submit for editorial, promotional, and archival purposes.

7. Music Rights and Streaming Links

Unfound Sounds generally links to or embeds music from third-party platforms such as Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, or similar services. You are responsible for ensuring your music is properly uploaded, licensed, distributed, and available on those platforms.

Unfound Sounds is not responsible for platform availability, broken links, takedowns, royalty payments, copyright claims, distribution disputes, or changes made by third-party platforms.

8. AI-Generated Music Policy

Unfound Sounds is focused on human-created music. By submitting music, you agree not to knowingly submit fully AI-generated songs or misrepresent AI-generated material as human-created work.

Unfound Sounds may reject, remove, or decline to cover any submission if it believes the song, artist profile, artwork, biography, or related materials were generated by AI in a way that conflicts with the purpose of the site. Unfound Sounds is not required to prove or publicly explain such decisions.

9. Podcast Consideration

If you indicate interest in appearing on the podcast, you agree that Unfound Sounds may contact you about a possible interview. Podcast consideration does not guarantee an interview, publication, release date, promotion, or final inclusion in an episode.

Any podcast appearance may require additional consent, scheduling, recording permissions, release terms, or other written agreement before publication.

10. Playlist Consideration

Songs reviewed or submitted may be considered for Unfound Sounds playlists. Playlist placement is not guaranteed and may be changed or removed at any time for any reason. Unfound Sounds does not guarantee streams, followers, revenue, saves, listener growth, or algorithmic performance.

11. Submitted Information and Contact

You agree that Unfound Sounds may use the contact information you submit to respond to your submission, request more information, coordinate potential coverage, or communicate about related opportunities. You are responsible for providing accurate contact information.

12. Prohibited Submissions

You agree not to submit materials that:

• Infringe or violate another person’s rights.
• Contain false, deceptive, or misleading information.
• Contain unlawful, abusive, threatening, harassing, hateful, or defamatory content.
• Contain malware, spam, scraping tools, or other harmful code.
• Impersonate another person, artist, label, or rights holder.
• Misrepresent AI-generated content as human-created music.

13. Takedown and Correction Requests

If you believe content on Unfound Sounds infringes your rights or contains inaccurate information, contact hello@unfoundsounds.com with enough detail to identify the issue. Unfound Sounds may update, correct, remove, or decline to remove content at its sole discretion, subject to applicable law.

14. Third-Party Links and Platforms

This website may link to third-party websites, streaming platforms, social networks, podcast platforms, embedded players, and external services. Unfound Sounds does not control and is not responsible for those third-party services, their content, policies, availability, or practices.

15. No Professional Advice

Content published by Unfound Sounds is for editorial, entertainment, music discovery, and informational purposes only. Nothing on this website is legal, financial, business, career, or professional advice.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unfound Sounds and its owner, operators, contributors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of revenue, exposure, opportunity, reputation, data, or business arising from your use of the website, your submission of music, or any decision not to publish, promote, review, or feature your work.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Unfound Sounds and its owner, operators, contributors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses arising from your submission, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party rights, or your misrepresentation of ownership, permissions, authorship, or AI-generated content.

18. Changes to These Terms

Unfound Sounds may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the website or submission of materials after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
